Florida Learning Hub is developing middle-grade classroom resources, reading companions, lesson plans, activities, and downloadable materials connected to Florida history, pioneer heritage, historical fiction, maps, and primary-source style learning.
Olivia's Adventures · Grades 6–8
The Olivia series introduces students to Florida's pioneer heritage through historically grounded fiction inspired by migration patterns, frontier settlements, cattle operations, family life, and environmental challenges in territorial and early-statehood Florida.
Florida B.E.S.T. Connections
Planned resources will support reading comprehension, literary analysis, vocabulary development, evidence-based writing, historical context, geography, research skills, and informational text connections.
